Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Music From and Inspired By) 2LP

The soundtrack to the Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever consists of an original score by legendary Swedish composer and producer Ludwig Göransson. Since the film's storyline is primarily set in the underwater civilization of Talokan, and is rooted in Mesoamerican, Wakandan, and Nigerian cultures, Göransson went to Mexico City to research and recreate, noting that Mayan music seems to have been forcibly erased from history. Recording for the soundtrack and score happened simultaneously in Mexico and Lagos, Nigeria. In addition to using ancient instruments, Göransson intentionally collaborated with contemporary rappers, singers & indigenous musicians, in order to bring the Talokan civilization to life.
